Just because Potbelly Sandwich Shop has multiple locations throughout Texas does not mean that’s it’s not just as good as a small, family-owned establishment. In fact, if you didn’t know how large this sandwich chain really is, you might be fooled into thinking that it was a mom-and-pop place. For yummy dishes that include more than just sandwiches, check out this shop when you get the chance.
The soup menu is one of the best things about Potbelly, especially when it’s chilly out. The menu changes depending upon the day of the week, but we highly recommend the broccoli cheddar on Sunday, the tomato on Monday, the chili on Tuesday (amazing chili!), the chicken enchilada on Wednesday, and the garden veggie on Thursday. Friday and Saturday have repeats from the week, so go for the chili again or that delicious broccoli cheddar.
Get You a Sandwich
If you love sandwiches, and you’re coming to Potbelly for a sandwich, then we’ll stop distracting you with soups and tell you what’s up for bread and meat. The tuna salad sandwich is refreshing and delicious, whereas the meatball sandwich is hearty and heart-warming. For a bit of a zing, try the Mediterranean with feta, artichoke hearts, cucumbers, and roasted peppers. And for a classic good choice, choose the turkey sandwich with Swiss cheese, which you can never really go wrong with.
Ice Cream Shop, too?
Not only does Potbelly serve up classic deli options, but there’s also an ice cream component of the restaurant where shop-goers can get shakes, malts, and smoothies. While the flavor list isn’t lengthy—just chocolate, vanilla, coffee, and Oreo for the shakes—they’re all super good and will certainly satisfy your sweet tooth.
In addition to the ice cream, you’ll also find plenty of baked goods at Potbelly, like freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, ice cream sandwiches, chocolate cherry granola cookies, dream bars, and more.
For the Healthy Eater
If you’re going low-carb or are trying to watch what you eat, there are some yummy salad options at Potbelly that you’ll find enjoyable and healthy. The farmhouse salad is a great choice for everyone, and is packed with all-natural grilled chicken, hard-boiled egg, bacon, blue cheese, tomatoes, red onion, and cucumber. The uptown salad, with all-natural grilled chicken, grapes, apples, dried cranberries, candied walnuts, red onion, and blue cheese is also great. Not a fan of blue cheese? No problem. Ask for the house Potbelly vinaigrette instead.
Start Your Day Right
There are some delish breakfast options at Potbelly that aren’t too bad for you either, such as the steel cut oatmeal and yogurt parfait. There are also bagels and a variety of breakfast sandwiches. Oh, and coffee of course!
Nothing is too expensive here, and some of the sandwiches are only $4! While they’re not whopping when it comes to size, paired with a soup or a salad they’re the perfect amount. Feeling extra hungry? Why not just order two….Google+
