It’s a taco stand? It’s a deli? No, it’s tacodeli.

Daily Taco Specials

If you love tacos, then you’ll love the daily specials at Tacodeli on Spyglass Drive in Austin. Daily specials change every week, but you’ll find everything from scallop tacos with roasted red and poblano peppers, grilled corn, and lime mojo sauce to bahn mi tacos with with roasted green chile sauce sweet and sour sauce to chile relleno tacos with queso fresco, purple onions, and range ancho pepper sauce.

Seafood Lovers, Vegetarians, and Omnivores

Tacodeli makes some amazing specialty tacos that are great for everyone, regardless of dietary preferences. The frontera fundido Portobello with Monterrey

Jack cheese are amazing; the mojo fish tacos with guacamole and pico de gallo are one of the most favorite menu items; and Mexico City sirloin tacos with diced onion and cilantro are simple yet succulent.

Soup and Salad Sides

If you want something to go with your tacos, or just love soup and salad, you have to try the spinach salad with avocado yogurt, or the avocado salad with jalapeno ranch dressing. For soup, there’s one soup option on the menu, and it features homemade chicken broth, chicken, fresh onion, tomatoes, jalapenos, cilantro, avocado, lime, and tortilla strips.

Best Breakfast Tacos

While we love tacos for lunch, the breakfast tacos are really the cream of the crop at Tacodeli. The Migas tacos with scrambled eggs and cheese are basic but good, but if you want something a little more flavorful, we definitely recommend the Vaquero tacos. The Vaquero tacos have scrambled eggs, grilled corn, poblano and red peppers, and jack cheese. If you’re feeling hungry, try the Migas Royale Plate, which comes with Mexican mashed potatoes, refried black beans, and tortillas. You can also build your own tacos if you’d like. Breakfast tacos are served starting at 7 AM on weekdays at 8 AM on the weekends.

Not the Cheapest Tacos

While these tacos are good, they’re not the cheapest tacos you can find in Houston, and range around $4 per taco. If you have a big appetite, two probably won’t fill you up, and you could end up spending upwards of $16 just to be full. Delicious but pricy, keep the cost in mind before thinking you’ll be gorging for cheap here.

Cute Outdoor Seating Option

While the outdoor seating area isn’t huge, it is pretty tasteful and cute. With big wooden tables and metal chairs, shade coverage on hot days and space heaters on cold ones, it’s a nice area to grab breakfast or lunch while getting a breath of fresh air. The atmosphere is super laid back and casual, and is good for kids and anyone else. They’re only open until 3 PM every day of the week, so its lunch and dinner only here.
