Smyth is one of those place you have to be in the mood for, but when you are it’s a truly amazing experience. Built in the style of the old Speakeasy of the prohibition era, Smyth is the kind of lounge where you and your friends go to spend hours enjoy fine cocktails, a cozy atmosphere, and good company.

The drink menu is cocktail driven, but they have beers and wines as well. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and can mix you up almost anything you could ever imagine. And they are all so friendly! When it’s not busy, they be happy to lend an ear or talk with you some.

The prices are reasonable as well considering the atmosphere, and the bar is open late into the morning, so you don’t have to feel rushed. Like I said, you won’t always want to go to a lounge that has the “speakeasy” feel. Sometimes you’ll want a gritty dive bar or a sports or wine bar. But when you get the urge to sit around in a place that is cozy with a taste of nostalgia, Smyth is definitely the place to go!
