In addition to the eclectic film scene at The Belcourt Theatre, there are decades of history to absorb that will add a bit of uniqueness to any date night. The Belcourt Theatre has been cultivating a local legacy as an art house and theater since the silent films of the 1920’s. It has hosted many timeless musical performances over the years, including those during its brief stint as the venue for the Grand Ole Opry in the 1930’s. Now the Belcourt shows recent independent films from across the globe, as well as cult classics, and it still hosts many live performances in music and theater too.

You can catch a movie there any evening of the week – there are usually several evening showings to choose from on any given night. Tickets are under $10, and classic movie theater edibles like popcorn and hot dogs are available.  You can also treat your date to some of the locally produced candies and chocolates that are for sale, or purchase a cocktail or beer from the full bar. Check the calendar for special Friday and Saturday night midnight movies. There is street and parking lot parking available, and the theater will validate parking for the lot. Online reservations are recommended so that you can guarantee your seat and get your parking code in advance.
