As such, it’s easy to see why hikers would love it here. There are plenty of trails to choose from, ranging in difficulty level and distance. The only downside to hiking here is that dogs aren’t allowed, so you’ll have to leave your pooch at home. Other than that, this is a fabulous place to explore nature, and there are even picnic areas along the way. Need an awesome date idea? Nothing says, “I like you,” more than planning a hike and a romantic picnic in a scenic and breathtaking landscape.

The programs allow students to learn more about wetlands, wildlife, human impact on nature, the scientific method, and more. And the best part is? Enrollment fees per child are only $6.50. Yep, that’s six dollars and fifty cents–probably less than what you paid for lunch.

Another awesome thing for those who like to learn are the explorer backpacks. The explorer backpacks include cards to help you identify birds and track animals and plants, binoculars, a field guide, a bug jar, butterfly net, a magnifying glass, and more. And you won’t believe it, but each explorer backpack is absolutely free for day use. All you have to do is ask for one at the front desk. Then, go explore all you’d like, and return the pack before leaving.
