Pasha Mediterranean Grill has an award-winning menu that shouldn’t be missed. For a taste of all that the Mediterranean area of the world has to offer, Pasha has a little bit of everything at their grill and restaurant in San Antonio.

Favorite Starters for the Table

Mediterranean appetizers are just as delightful as Mediterranean entrees, and you should absolutely plan on an order of the dolmas, the baba ghannouj, and the fried cauliflower florets when dining here. The dolmas are grape leaves that have been stuffed with rice and tomato, and then rolled and served with an amazing Tzatziki sauce. The baba ghannouj is a Mediterranean speciality and is a combination of eggplant, garlic, lemon juice, and tahini sauce that’s been pureed into a fabulous dip. And the fried cauliflower florets are pieces of cauliflower that have been lightly battered, and then fried to a crispy and beautiful golden brown. If you’re a fan of cheese, the Greek feta cheese started is also amazing, and features pieces of cheese mixed with olive oil, tomatoes, and olives.

Go for a Gyro

Gyro, pronounced “yero,” not “ji-ro,” is a typically dish in the Mediterranean area and is perfect when you’re hungry, craving meat, or are looking for an affordable lunch option. You can get the traditional gyro–which is served with a pita–or a gyro plate, which is great for those who prefer to eat with a fork. The gyro plate has lean ground beef and lamb, Greek salad, Grecian sauce, and hummus, and is really delicious. The standard gyro is pretty much the same, but adds onions and tomatoes. For lunch, both of these dishes are under $10.

Endless Entrees Keep People Happy

Not only is there a huge list of entrees, but the entree portions themselves are pretty monstrous, which is one of the many reasons that people love eating here. Try the Mediterranean seafood plate, which features basa fish and shrimp that’s been marinated in olive oil, paprika, garlic, lemons, and peppers, and then served with basmati rice and sautéed spinach. Yummy! The grilled salmon entree is also a great choice, and the Pasha bowl is popular favorite. The bowl features rice, shirazi salad, mast-o-khiyar, and your choice of shawarma meat. If you’re a vegetarian, don’t worry, there are quite a few entree items that are free of meat, too. The veggie plate is a great choice, and the veggie kabob plate served with hummus is amazing!

More Things to Love About Pasha

A few other reasons to go here–in addition to the food–is that this is a family friendly restaurant with a lot of kid-friendly items on the menu, there’s an outdoor seating area which is great on a day of good weather (the downside: the outdoor patio is not dog friendly), the service is fast and friendly, the prices are spot on, and they’re open 7 days a week!

For great food in San Antonio that is outside the realm of BBQ and burgers, try Pasha’s for a meal that’s healthy and will wow your tastebuds.
