Ginny’s Little Longhorn Saloon features live country music.  They’re open 7 days a week, but only on Sundays will you find the world famous attraction of….Chicken Shit Bingo!

WTF is Chicken Shit Bingo you may ask?  Well only the most Austinesque version of Bingo where a live chicken in a cage on the pool table craps on bingo numbers.  It is one of the few times in life that it actually works to your advantage when a bird poops on something you care about. It’s worth a stop just so you can tell the story.

But if that weren’t enough, there’s great live local talent, in a friendly place, with cold beer.  What more could you ask for?  Well one thing you might ask for if you are in to dancing…some more room.  This place gets packed, and it’s really small, which is part of it’s charm.  But if you want real country two-stepping you might want to try something more like The Broken Spoke (which is better for dancing but still crowded) or Wild West (which has lots of room for serious dancers, but it’s way North in Cedar Park)

Located on Burnet Road, you won’t find a martini menu or any shot girls, but you will find local honky tonk bands like Dale Watson, and a truly unique Austin party environment.

Ginny’s Little Longhorn Saloon offers plenty of parking in the lot outside.  The crowd can often be found extending out into the lot itself on many evenings.  You might even grab a seat on your motorcycle where you can drink a cold one and listen to the music flow out the doors.  A true Austin experience you won’t find anywhere else but hanging out at Ginny’s.
