Insider Tip

Oasis Texas Brewing, not to be confused with the Oasis restaurant, shares the same complex and are totally separate entities. Bartenders are very friendly and would offer you a free sip if you’re still picking out a favorite. Also, they have this really cool fire pit you and your pals can gather around to. The food is a bit limited, but their hamburger and tots are absolutely amazing.

The Brews

Oasis Texas Brewing Co.

Metamodern Session IPA
ABV: 4.5
This is OTXBC’s go-to beer. It pours a hazy, bright yellow color with a nice, big and fluffy white head that chooses to hang around for a bit long after it has been poured. You’ll get a whiff of its enticing floral aroma, with slightly herbaceous notes closing in, balanced out by lingering hints of pine.

It’s common for session brew makers to get the nose right, just to lose all those wonderfully anticipated flavors at first sip. It can be said that Metamodern is one of those rare brews that keeps it’s enticing foreshadowing of scents and aroma of lemon peel and citrus.

Slow Ride
American Pale Ale
ABV: 4.8%
Oasis Texas Brewery calls this their American muscle beer. Slow Ride is a mixture of Cascade, Columbus, and Chinook hops – a complex mix that provides its solid taste. It has a hazy, golden straw color and creamy, off-white head complemented by a pleasant citrusy aroma. The level of bitterness is on point from the combination of hops, leaving a nice tingle on your taste buds.

Oasis Texas Brewing Co.3

Luchesa Lager
Unfiltered Pils
ABV: 4.8%
Discreet malt notes commingle with strong Saaz and Hallertau hops traditionally brewed, German Kellerbier style. Luchesa Lager pours a hazy, golden color with a right amount of bubbles, while a slightly floral and fruity aroma fills your olfactory system. While Luchesa’s fruity flavor dances on your tongue, herbal notes permeates and crescendoes into a biscuity, bready finish.

Luchesa is a perfect companion for those long, sweaty afternoons after you’ve moved the lawn or done some tiring, and dehydrating garden work.

London Homesick
English-style Ale
ABV: 4.9
OTXBC’s bright Texan session ale is brewed with traditional English yeast strain and heaps of English Challenger hops – English ale fans will feel right at home.

Pours a slightly hazy, golden yellow color accompanied by a bubbly, fluffy, and big white heat. You’ll love the frothy cap and that lingering white lace. Your tongue will be greeted by a taste of honey, followed by light bread and hints of citrus, and finishes off with a herbal bitterness. Another award-winning brew from the extremely talented folks at Oasis Texas Brewing.

OTXBC’s tasty craft beers are priced around $6 a pint with the exception of Luchesa Lager in cans, which is a good deal at $2 a pop. Their flight of 6 beers, 2oz pours, can be had for only $10. For those who would like a taste of wine, it’s $8 per glass. There’s also a collection of other beers available on tap, and you can get you own choice of their 6-pack you can take home with you for just $7.
