A Houston Landmark that is part historic home part work of art, the Beer Can House is the result of one mans’s dream and a lot and lot of beer cans. The owner, John Milkovisch, started the project in 1968, and over the years used tens of thousands of beer cans, beer can lids, and beer boxes to create a completely unique residential masterpiece.

Since then, the Beer Can House has become a place of interest for locals and tourists alike. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the house is open for a few hours each day for tours, including a short film on the history of the house. Tours are run by the Orange Show Center for Visionary Arts, and are approved by the Milkovisch Estate.

At $2.00 admission, you can’t get a more inexpensive and unique way to enjoy an afternoon in Houston.
