The St. Regis Hotel is one of Houston’s most lavish, comfortable, and romantic hotels in the whole of the city. Whether you need a place to host a business meeting, staying during a weekend trip, or spend an amorous evening away from home, the St. Regis has everything that high-class hotels have to offer.

A Five-Star Luxury Hotel

The St. Regis is regarded as a five-star luxury hotel, and for good reason. This beautiful hotel offers amazing hospitality, an incredibly butler service, a classy tea lounge, a business center, and plenty of recreation and entertainment–and that’s not to mention the beauty of the rooms or the accessibility to downtown Houston.

Rooms of the Gods

The rooms here are fit for a king, and whether you’re in one of the standard guest rooms or the Presidential Suite, you’ll find yourself comfortable and happy while staying at the St. Regis. The standard rooms offer a choice of king sized bed or two double beds, a fully stocked mini bar, a 37″ flat screen plasma TV, wi-fi access, an oversized desk area, and a plush pillow-top mattress accompanied with Italian bed linens.

If you are looking for something even more elegant, one of the suites is sure to please. For example, a stay in one of the Grand Luxe guest rooms will get you butler services; the Junior Suite comes with a separate sitting area; the Governor Suite includes a fully equipped kitchen and, fireplace, and oversized jetted tub; and the Presidential Suite has all of the above, plus an additional room, an outdoor terrace that looks out over downtown, a separate butler entrance, walk-in closets, two and a half bathrooms, and even custom chandeliers. The latter is 2,500 square feet, which is bigger than many apartments and homes.

The Remington Restaurant and High Tea

While you’re welcome to travel into downtown Houston during your stay at the St. Regis for food, the hotel itself can accommodate all of your dining needs. The Remington Bar has a simple light fare menu, while the Remington Restaurant serves entrees for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Try the Maine Lobster and Blue Crab Bisque for a dinner starter, followed by the Duo of Cedar-Grilled Lamb Chops and Braised Osso Buco for your entree, and finish with Lemon Mascarpone Cheesecake with Blackberry Pernod Confit for dessert–all three food items are remarkable, and you’re guaranteed to love them.

For an afternoon tea, head to the Remington Tea Lounge, open Friday-Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. A reservation is required, as is business casual dress. Here, drink some of the finest teas in Texas while enjoying signature tea sandwiches and pastries.

The Cost of Divinity

While a weekend here will certainly impress both you and your significant other, it will cost you a pretty penny. Plan on paying a minimum of $270 a night for a basic room, up to over $900 for a fancier one. If you can afford it, it’s worth the cost, though!
